Zenere Trucking & Excavating made its start by servicing small residential excavations. Now, with up to 75 employees, this all-union shop services large commercial businesses and does extensive mass earthwork. Founded by father Roy in 1962, Zenere Companies remains a family owned and managed enterprise, headquartered in Chicago's south suburbs. Throughout the years we've not only grown, but have succeeded in servicing some of the most predominant excavation and mass earthwork projects in the Midwest—with a long list of satisfied customers.

"We've dug a lot of dirt in the Chicago area over the years," says president Greg Zenere. "From the new Rock 'n' Roll McDonalds downtown to massive landfill caps in Indiana to Horton's headquarters in Orland Park, Zenere always has machines moving the earth."

Another testament to this dynamic company, aside from its growth, is the long tenure and family connections of their employees.

"One operator here has over 30 years and most others have at least 10 years," Greg said. "We have a lot of fathers and sons and brothers working for us. Guys who work here want their kids to work here too, and that makes me feel good. When you work for our family you get treated like family."
